There’s lot of new faces here so I thought I’d reintroduce myself.

My name is Vanessa Verea. I am the Founder of HUMBLE&VAIN. 

It all started with a vision 6 years ago. After working in countless salons during my lifetime (and growing up with a hairstylist father), I knew I wanted to be the change of this industry. I wanted to create something that got rid of the toxic beauty environment and standards that I saw growing up and in the beauty industry (IYKYK) The “questionable” things/people would rise to the top and the true inspiring artists would stay silent and unseen. 

But it’s a new age! Bullying is out. Kindness is in!

Which is why I decided to take it upon myself to be the voice of: the barely recognized, the hidden talent, the true artists behind the scenes. I decided to be the ultimate hype woman, if you will. Which is why I created HUMBLE&VAIN. To help artists get the recognition they deserve by creating opportunities with my go-getter “i know a guy” attitude and my ability to leave an impression on all I come across.

Within a year, my business has grown in the NYC wedding scene (with expansion to CA), been on the front cover of magazines, and even made it to a billboard in Times Square!

You will hear me use the term “we” or “our” a lot because everyone on my team has been through the depths of the beauty industry and have joined me voluntarily to help be the change we want to see in the industry. 

HUMBLE&VAIN’s mission is to help artists and consumers through beauty, wellness, and production services by adhering to our core principle values of:

Humble & Vain is by the artist, for the artist to do what they love and create with beautiful and innovative results. 

If all of this can happen in one year, I’m 
truly excited to see what sort growth will happen in the future.
